A mixture of liquid hydrocarbons that occurs in the Earth’s crust. Crude oil is extracted and refined to be used as fuel and in various other petroleum products. Typically, crude oil contains, in various percentages, a mixture of naphtha, kerosene, middle distillates and fuel oils.
