“MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES FOR EU BIOFUELS POLICY”
Key MEPs and European Commission representatives attended an Sustainable Fuels lunch debate organised at the European Parliament on 19 June. The event was hosted by MEP Julie Girling, ECR Shadow Rapporteur on ILUC Dossier for the Environment Committee (ENVI) and co-hosted by MEP Britta Thomsen, S&D Shadow Rapporteur for the Industry and Energy Committee (ITRE). “Making the right choices for EU Biofuels Policy” was the main theme of the debate with a special focus on the true performances of biofuels and specifically bio-ethers in terms of reduction of CO2 emissions, energy content, as well as other environmental and technical benefits, including quality of the final fuel.
