Future of Fuel Ethers

Fuel ethers producers are fully aware of the urgent need to deploy net-zero carbon solutions for transport. For this transition to materialize they have now developed production plans to roll out 100% fully renewable fuel ethers. Such fuel ethers combine bio-feedstocks, like corn, sugar cane and agricultural waste with renewable iso-butylene produced from renewable naphtha. While our fuel ethers will be produced from fully renewable feedstocks instead of fossil sources, they continue to equally efficiently increase the octane of fuels, resulting in lower CO2 emissions. 100% renewable fuel ethers are therefore delivering on the net-zero carbon ambition of fuel ethers producers and the wider transport value chain as they are CO2 neutral across the lifecycle, from feedstock sourcing over ethers production to combustion.
